Biography
Amy Paulin
Amy Paulin is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly representing the 88th District, which includes Scarsdale, Edgemont, Eastchester, Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Pelham, Pelham Manor, and parts of New Rochelle and White Plains. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and has served in the Assembly since 2001.
Paulin has established herself as one of the most productive legislators in the New York State Legislature, with over 400 bills signed into law. She is recognized for her prolific legislative output and diverse policy agenda focused on public health, women's rights, and community issues.
Education
Paulin is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and holds a Master's degree.

- Chair of the Assembly Committee on Energy , where she worked to encourage renewable energy and ensure grid reliability
- Chair of the Assembly Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions , where she championed expanded broadband access, public transportation, and utility resiliency
Notable Legislative Accomplishments:
- Authored and sponsored the bill that eliminated the statute of limitations for rape
- Sponsored the landmark Trafficking Victims Protection and Justice Act, which toughened penalties for traffickers and buyers while providing support to trafficking victims
- Authored the Birth Control Access Act, which expanded access to birth control for New Yorkers by allowing pharmacists to prescribe and dispense hormonal contraception
Pre-Assembly Experience:
Before her election to the Assembly, Paulin held several positions, including Executive Director of My Sisters' Place, Member of the Scarsdale Village Board of Trustees, Founder and Chairwoman of the Westchester Women's Agenda, President of the Westchester League of Women Voters, Vice President of the New York State League of Women Voters, and Member of the Board of Directors of WCLA – Choice Matters. She was also recognized as one of 40 emerging state leaders selected for the prestigious Toll Fellowship Program sponsored by The Council of State Governments.
