Amanda E. Batten is a Republican delegate representing District 71 in the Virginia House of Delegates, covering parts of James City County, New Kent County, and the City of Williamsburg. Born in 1979 in Washington, DC, she resides in Toano, Virginia, with her husband, Rick , and has one adult son, Troy E. Johnston. She is Christian and involved in community service as a James City County Ruritan member, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 4639, and board member of the Colonial Virginia Council and Virginia Symphony Society of the Boy Scouts of America. Notable achievements include serving as Majority Caucus Chair and Minority Caucus Chair of House Republicans, and appointments to boards like the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation Board of Trustees and the Governor’s Aerospace Advisory Council.
