Biography
Allison Knab is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 12, which includes Stratham. A 16-year resident of Stratham, she was elected in 2022 and serves on the Environment and Agriculture Committee, including the Animal Protection and Licensing Subcommittee. Notable achievements include sponsoring bills for a Farm-to-School Nutrition pilot program, flood risk disclosure in real estate, green burials, extreme risk protection orders, condo association meeting laws, and enhanced school instruction on elections and voting. She has served on the Stratham Select Board since 2018, becoming Vice Chair in 2022 and only the second woman in the town's 300+ year history to do so. As Executive Director of the nonprofit Great Bay Stewards since 2017, she advocates for environmental issues and has worked with numerous town boards and committees. Originally from Virginia, she lives in Stratham with her husband Brian, a radiation oncologist, their two daughters , and dog Wally.
