Alex Falconer (49A)

Alex Falconer is a Democratic-Farmer-Labor member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 49A in Hennepin County, which includes Eden Prairie. A lifelong Minnesotan and longtime resident of Eden Prairie, he works as a nonprofit manager and was first elected in 2024, currently serving his 1st term. He is married to Erica, a marriage and family therapist, and they have three children attending Minnetonka public schools, along with two dogs and a cat. Falconer enjoys gardening, cooking, running, skiing , photography, nature, and family time in the Boundary Waters.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Red Wing High School; B.S. in biology from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota.
• Political Experience: Elected to the Minnesota House in 2024 following the retirement of Representative Larry Pryor; serves on the Commerce Finance and Policy, Education Policy, and Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy committees.
