Aletia Timmons is a Democratic representative for House District 97 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, serving areas including Forest Park, Jones, Lake Aluma, Midwest City, Oklahoma City, and Spencer. She won a special election in June 2025 with 59.07% of the vote to fill the remainder of former Rep. Jason Lowe’s term, after resigning as an Oklahoma County District Court Judge where she served from 2014 to 2025. Age 64 at the time of her election, Timmons focuses on government accountability, criminal justice reform, and economic growth. Prior to her judicial role, she founded and led Timmons & Associates , specializing in civil rights and employment law, worked as an attorney for General Motors legal services, and served as Deputy Chief of the Civil Division in the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office. Her full name is Aletia Haynes Timmons, and she is from Oklahoma City.
