Biography
Muhammad Akbar Ali, a Democrat, represents Georgia's 106th House District. Born on January 29, 2004, he is the youngest elected legislator in Georgia history at age 21, winning a special election runoff on December 2, 2025, against Marqus Cole and sworn in on December 18, 2025. Previously First Vice Chair of the Gwinnett County Democratic Party, he is a small business owner from Gwinnett County and a product of its public schools. His campaign priorities include lowering costs, supporting education, and expanding healthcare for low-income Georgians; he has backed women's rights and pro-choice initiatives.
