Aimee Adatto Freeman
Aimee Adatto Freeman is a Democratic state representative serving District 98 in New Orleans, Louisiana, representing Orleans Parish. She was elected in 2019 in a competitive race against seven candidates and was subsequently reelected unopposed. Beyond her legislative work, Freeman is a wife, mother, and grandmother who has built a career combining business strategy with civic engagement.
Freeman founded and manages Aimee Freeman Consulting, a strategic business consulting firm she has led since 2002. She has served as an adjunct professor of business at Tulane University for over two decades and is a member of the board of the A.B. Freeman School Business Council.

Freeman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Tulane University.
Political Experience
Freeman has served in the Louisiana House of Representatives since 2020 and holds memberships on several key committees, including the Appropriations Committee, Education Committee, Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget, Legislative Audit Advisory Council, and House Select Committee on Women and Children. She serves as Treasurer of the Democratic Caucus.
Her legislative accomplishments include passing landmark bills addressing consumer protection and support for vulnerable populations. She authored Acts 449 and 138, which eliminated the "Pink Tax" on menstrual products and children's and adult diapers. Freeman has also championed legislation supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, including Act 1 , Act 409 , and Act 394 . Additionally, she streamlined the Pandemic-EBT distribution process, which resulted in 250,000 additional families receiving benefits.
