Adam Thomas is a Republican state senator representing District 23 in Kansas. Born in Saint Charles, Missouri, he currently resides in Olathe, Kansas, with his wife Kristin and five children. He is affiliated with the Southern Baptist faith and serves as Chair of the Olathe Republican Party.

Political Experience

Thomas has extensive experience in Kansas politics and served in the state house before his recent election to the state senate. He represented District 25 in the Kansas State House of Representatives from 2019 to 2025, where he held prominent committee positions including Chair of the Education Committee and membership on the Federal and State Affairs Committee and K-12 Education Budget Budget Committee.

In his current role as State Senator for District 23, Thomas serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Education and is a member of the Senate Committee on Child Welfare. He previously ran for the state house in Districts 25 and 26 in 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Beyond his legislative work, Thomas has been involved in community service as a watchdog at Heritage Elementary School, a member of the Olathe Youth Symphony Association Board of Directors, and a member of the Lenexa Baptist Church Praise Band.
