Adam Neylon
Adam Thomas Neylon is a Republican representing Wisconsin State Assembly District 15, located entirely in Waukesha County. His district includes parts of Pewaukee, Brookfield, and Waukesha. Born on December 30, 1984, Neylon is currently a full-time legislator and small business owner.
Political Experience
Neylon was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2013. Prior to his election, he worked as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly during the passage of Act 10. He also served as a staffer for U.S. Representative Jim Sensenbrenner in both Wisconsin and Washington, D.C., and worked as a grassroots organizer for the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
Throughout his legislative career, Neylon has authored several bills that received national attention:
- GPS Privacy Act — criminalizes the unauthorized use of GPS devices for tracking
- Patent Notification Act — addresses predatory "patent trolling" schemes targeting Wisconsin businesses
- REINS Act — grants the legislature oversight authority over state agencies' rulemaking processes
All three bills were signed into law by Governor Scott Walker.
For the 2025-26 Legislative Session, Neylon serves as *Co-Chairman of the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules *, which ensures state agencies remain within their authority when issuing regulations. Previously, he chaired the Assembly Committee on Jobs and the Economy and co-chaired the Small Business Regulatory Review Board .
Recognition and Service
Neylon was selected to attend the prestigious Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development fellowship with the Council of State Governments in 2014. He has also served on numerous committees and task forces, including the Assembly Speaker's Task Force on Foster Care, the Assembly Speaker's Task Force on Artificial Intelligence, and Governor Walker's Steering Committee on Autonomous and Connected Vehicle Testing and Deployment.
