Adam Hinojosa is a Republican state senator representing Texas Senate District 27, which spans the South Texas Gulf Coast from Brownsville to Corpus Christi, including parts of Cameron, Hidalgo, and San Patricio counties. A fourth-generation Texan with family roots dating back to 1874, he was born in Brownsville and hails from Corpus Christi. Elected in 2024, he made history as the first Republican to represent District 27 since Reconstruction, defeating Democrat Morgan LaMantia in a narrow rematch after losing to her in 2022.
