Adam Hinojosa (Senate District 0027)

Adam Hinojosa is a Republican state senator representing Texas Senate District 27, which spans the South Texas Gulf Coast from Brownsville to Corpus Christi, including parts of Cameron, Hidalgo, and San Patricio counties. A fourth-generation Texan with family roots dating back to 1874, he was born in Brownsville and hails from Corpus Christi. Elected in 2024, he made history as the first Republican to represent District 27 since Reconstruction, defeating Democrat Morgan LaMantia in a narrow rematch after losing to her in 2022. His district features key economic assets like SpaceX, the Ports of Brownsville and Corpus Christi, oil and gas infrastructure, and agriculture. Hinojosa, a CFO and small business owner, serves in the 89th Texas Legislature and is not up for reelection until 2028. He holds committee assignments including Administration, Business & Commerce, and Committee of the Whole Senate.
