Biography of Delegate A.C. Cordoza
A.C. Cordoza is a Republican delegate who has represented Virginia's 86th House District since 2024. He was born in 1989 in the Bronx, New York, and identifies as African American and Hispanic.
Education
Cordoza earned an Advanced Studies Diploma from Hampton High School in 2008 and later completed an Associate's Degree in 2016 from Thomas Nelson Community College.
Political Experience
Cordoza has served in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2022, initially representing the 91st District before redistricting moved him to the 86th District in 2024. He serves on several committees, including Communications, Technology and Innovation; Courts of Justice; and Public Safety.
Beyond his legislative role, Cordoza holds leadership positions in Republican organizations, serving as Vice Chairman of the Hampton Republican Party and Sergeant at Arms of the Greater Peninsula Young Republicans. He is also a trustee of the Fort Monroe Authority and an active member of the Hampton Roads Black Caucus and Hampton Roads Legislative Caucus.

Cordoza worked as a Cybersecurity Engineering Technician and is a member of the Virginia Realtor's Association. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2013 to 2016, receiving the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal. He is affiliated with Cornerstone Assembly and Calvary Assembly churches and practices Messianic Judaism/Christianity.
