Fred Meyer of St. Paul is a third-generation farmer and former member of the Nebraska State Board of Education (1999β2010), serving as vice president and president. He was appointed to fill the District 41 seat on January 14, 2026 after the resignation of Senator Dan McKeon and previously served the district in late 2023 and early 2024. Meyer has committed to complete the remainder of the term and has not yet announced whether he will seek election to a full term.
