Derek Vaughn

Derek Vaughn is an associate justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court, appointed by Governor Jim Pillen on November 10, 2025, to fill the vacancy in District 2 following the retirement of Justice Lindsey Miller-Lerman. Prior to his Supreme Court appointment, he served as a district judge in Nebraska’s Fourth Judicial District and as an attorney in the Douglas County Attorney’s Office for 14 years.
