Para crear la "Ley para Establecer Patrones de Personal de Enfermería para la Atención de Pacientes en Instituciones de Cuidado Médico - Hospitalarias"; establecer como política pública del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico los patrones de personal de enfermería en las instituciones hospitalarias; definir términos; establecer los patrones de personal de enfermería para cada unidad de trabajo; establecer la jornada laboral del personal de enfermería y pagos por jornadas extraordinarias; establecer las obligaciones del personal de enfermería; establecer las responsabilidades por represalias de las instituciones médico–hospitalarias; añadir un subinciso (3) en el inciso (g) del Artículo 1541 de la Ley 55-2020; y para otros fines relacionados.
