LR 199 proposes an interim, fact-finding study to identify the causes of recent increases in Nebraska homeowners’ insurance premiums and to explore public policy options the Legislature could pursue to address these increases. The study is to be conducted by the Banking, Commerce and Insurance Committee, with findings and recommendations reported to the Legislative Council or Legislature upon completion.
The resolution directs the interim study to cover, at a minimum, the following areas:
