Individual income tax subtraction; income earned in certain localities. Directs the Department of Taxation and the Commission on Local Government to assess the need for income tax relief in double distressed localities in the Commonwealth that have experienced significant loss of population since 2013. The Department and the Commission must report on their recommendations to the Governor and the Chairmen of the Senate Committee on Finance and Appropriations and the House Committees on Finance and Appropriations by November 1, 2024. ABOUT
Todd E. Pillion is a Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 4. He assumed office on January 11, 2017. Pillion was an Air Force officer for over 20 years. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring from active duty. He received a bachelor's in economics and management from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1991 as well as an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University in 1998. Pillion owns a financial advisory firm. He is an active member of numerous business, civic, and veterans groups in his community. Pillion resides in Abingdon, Virginia.read less
