Samuel D. Zurier graduated from Harvard College in 1980 and Harvard Law School in 1983. He served as a law clerk for a federal appeals court judge before entering private law practice in Providence. Zurier was first elected to the Providence City Council in 2002. He focused on improving city services and fiscal responsibility. In 2010, Zurier returned to the private sector. He continued his community involvement through volunteer work and service on local boards. In 2018, Zurier was again elected to the Providence City Council. His priorities include quality schools, thriving neighborhoods, social justice and transparent government.read less
