Matthew A. Cartwright is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Pennsylvania's 8th district. Cartwright graduated with honors from Hamilton College in 1983, going on to earn a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1986. He is an attorney and small business owner who has served as chairman of the Monroe County Democratic Committee. Cartwright and his wife Mary have two sons.
