James D. Ruchti was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Lakeland College in 1982. After college, Ruchti worked as an accountant and finance manager in the private sector for over 30 years. In 2016, Ruchti was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent the 9th Assembly District. He serves on the Agriculture, State Affairs, Rural Development, and Small Business Development committees. Ruchti lives in Manitowoc with his wife, Susan. They have three adult children.read less
