Henry Corby Dillon was born and raised in Iowa. He attended Northwestern University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1971. After college, Dillon began working at his family's insurance company. He eventually became president and CEO. Alongside his business career, Dillon served on the Scott County Republican Central Committee. In 2010, Dillon ran for Iowa's House of Representatives. He lost in the Republican primary. Four years later, he tried again and won. Dillon focused on economic issues and supported reducing business regulations as a state legislator.read less
