Harvey Smith Peeler was born in Gaffney, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina in 1964. Peeler served in the South Carolina Senate from 1987-present, representing the 14th District. He serves on several state committees including Ethics, Finance, Interstate Cooperation, Judiciary, Rules, and Transportation.
