William E. “Bill” Sharer is a Republican member of the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 1. He was first elected to the chamber in 2020. Sharer's professional experience includes working as a consultant and small business owner. He is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Sharer serves on several committees, including the Committees on Committees; Indian, Rural and Cultural Affairs; and Transportation.
