Susan M. Johnson was born and raised in Michigan. She earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Michigan State University in 1989. After college, Susan worked in banking and finance for over 15 years. She eventually became a finance manager at a manufacturing company. In 2010, Susan decided to run for a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. She was elected in 2011 and has focused on education, jobs, and fiscal issues during her time in office. Susan serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Education Committee.read less
