Stacey E. Plaskett attended Georgetown University and American University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, she was an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx. Plaskett moved back home and was appointed as the Commissioner of Planning and Natural Resources for the U.S.V.I. In 2014, Plaskett won the Democratic nomination for the Virgin Islands' Delegate seat to the U.S. House of Representatives. She went on to win the general election, and assumed office on January 3, 2015. Plaskett currently serves on the House Agriculture, Budget, and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees.read less
