HB1876 - Relating To Family Leave.

Establishes a paid family leave program for state and county employees. Authorizes a qualifying employee to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave for the birth or placement of a child or to care for a family member who has a serious health condition. Establishes procedures for a health care provider to provide a certification to an employee requesting paid family leave. Requires the State and counties to establish the paid family leave program by 1/1/2025.

HB1869 - Relating To Unmanned Aircraft.

HB1776 - Relating To The Household And Dependent Care Services Tax Credit.

Temporarily amends the applicable percentage of the employment-related expenses for which the child and dependent care income tax credit may be claimed and permanently provides for a disallowance period when there is a final administrative or judicial decision finding that the claim was due to fraud or disallowing the credit. Amends state conformity with certain federal deductions. Takes effect 12/31/2050. (SD1)

Requires the design of all new state building construction where parking is to be included to provide that at least twenty-five per cent of parking stalls be electric vehicle charger-ready. Requires the Hawaii State Energy Office, in consultation with the Department of Accounting and General Services, to conduct a survey and identify certain high-priority state facilities. Establishes a goal of the State to retrofit state facilities to be electric vehicle charger-ready. Requires a report to the Legislature. Declares that the general fund expenditure ceiling is exceeded. Appropriates funds. Takes effect 7/1/2491. (SD1)

Requires each number plate issued on or after 1/1/2025 to include an 'okina in the word "Hawai'i". Authorizes the use of all uppercase letters, all lowercase letters, or initial capital letters for the words "Hawai'i" and "Aloha State" in motor vehicle number plates. Limits application of special number plates for environmental conservation to electric vehicles. Specifies that the design for special number plates for environmental conservation does not require the words "Aloha State". (SD2)
