Scott A. Surovell is currently a Democratic member of the Virginia State Senate, representing the 36th district. Surovell was first elected to the chamber in 2019. His current term ends in 2023. Surovell received his B.A. from James Madison University in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996.
