Rosemary T. Lesser was born in Yonkers, NY. She earned her B.A. in social work from Adelphi University in 1980. Lesser was the Executive Director for the Child Care Council of Nassau County from 1983 to 2003. Lesser served on the Great Neck Board of Education, eventually becoming its President. She was elected to the New York State Assembly in 2005, where she has focused on education funding, healthcare and the environment.read less
