ABOUT
Jana Hughes was born and raised in Oklahoma. After earning her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University, she taught Oklahoma history. She then earned her Master's from the University of Oklahoma, becoming a pioneer in developing character education curricula. Seeking further growth, she moved her young family halfway across the country to teach at Washington College in the rolling hills of Chestertown, Maryland. Her time there strengthened her belief that an engaged, caring community can foster strong character. She later earned her doctorate at the University of Maryland.read less
