David P. Givens is a Republican member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 9. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008. Givens earned his B.A. in Journalism from Western Kentucky University in 1998. His professional experience includes working as a legislative aide for U.S. Representative Ron Lewis, serving as Communications Director and as a District Representative for U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield, serving as a constituent services representative for U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, and working as Director of Communications for the Kentucky Governor's Office for Local Development.read less
