David I. Weprin is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 24. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. Weprin was born February 27, 1956. He earned his BA from the State University of New York at Albany in 1978 and his JD from Hofstra University School of Law in 1981. Weprin was a member of the New York City Council from 2002 to 2010.
