Yasmin Neal was born in New York City and moved to Georgia at a young age. She graduated from Agnes Scott College with a degree in psychology before earning her law degree from Emory University School of Law. Neal worked as a prosecutor for over a decade before being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2010 where she has served on committees including Judiciary and Small Business Development. In 2018, Neal successfully sponsored a bipartisan bill to study maternal mortality among African American women in Georgia.read less
