William "Bill" P. Wielechowski is a Democratic member of the Alaska State Senate, representing District J. Wielechowski was first elected to the chamber in 2006. He earned his BA in History from Williams College and his JD from University of New Mexico School of Law. Wielechowski sits on several committees, including the Finance Committee, Judiciary Committee, the World Trade Committee, and the Legislative Council. He is also Chair of the Senate Task Force on Government Accountability. His professional experience includes working as an assistant public defender, cyber crimes prosecutor, municipal attorney, and in private practice.read less
