William J. Carson is the U.S. Representative from Indiana's 7th Congressional District, serving since 2008. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to his election to Congress, Carson served as an investigator for the Indiana State Excise Police from 1989 to 1995 before being elected to the Indianapolis City-County Council.
