William F. Burt is a Republican member of the Michigan State Senate, representing District 36. He has served since 2015, after winning election to the chamber in November 2014. Burt attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, receiving his J.D. degree. Prior to his election to the Senate, Burt served as the mayor of Grosse Pointe Park. Burt also previously worked as an attorney. He lives in Grosse Pointe Park and is married with three children.read less
