Walter G. Runte is a Constitutional, Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Minnesota. Runte was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He holds a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Runte is married with two adult children. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a surface warfare officer and was recalled to active duty after 9/11. He is the author of several books on environmental and political issues.read less
