Van Burtenshaw is running for Utah State Senate District 24. He was born and raised in Utah. Van graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in political science. Van is an active community volunteer who serves on the board of Rediscover 25, an organization that helps the homeless. He is also an appointed commissioner for Salt Lake County Animal Services.
