Trenton Barnhart was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Ohio State University, where he studied political science and economics. After graduation, Trenton worked in the financial sector before deciding to run for public office. Trenton first ran for Ohio Senate in 2018 on a platform of supporting small businesses, access to healthcare, and education. Though unsuccessful in his Senate bid, Trenton gained valuable campaign experience which set the stage for his current run for U.S. Congress in Ohio's 12th district.
