Teresa S. Pierce was born in Lawrence, Kansas. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and her law degree from Washburn University School of Law. Pierce served on the Lawrence City Commission from 2013 to 2017 and was elected Mayor of Lawrence in 2015. She has worked as an attorney and advocate for domestic violence survivors. In 2018, Pierce was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives to represent District 46. She serves on the Judiciary and Health and Human Services committees.read less
