Tehmi Chassion was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. He has served as a member of the Lafayette Parish School Board since 2014. Chassion is a member of 100 Black Men of Greater Lafayette and a volunteer coach for the league team Lafayette Aquatics. He previously served as Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee of the Lafayette Parish Democratic Executive Committee.read less
