Steve Crowell is a former Democratic member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 37. He received his B.S. from Mississippi State University in 1975. Crowell was a math and science teacher at Jackson Public School District from 1975 to 2007. In 2007, Crowell won a special election to the Mississippi State Senate. He went on to win re-election in 2011. During his time in office, Crowell served on several committees including Education, Finance, Public Health and Welfare, and Transportation. He chose not to seek re-election in 2015 after serving two terms.read less
