Stephen Miles Ross was born on May 21, 1978 in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and History from Wayne State University in 2001. In 2008, Ross won election to the Michigan State House to represent District 27. He was subsequently re-elected in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016. Ross currently serves as Minority Floor Leader Pro Tempore as well as on various standing committees including Ethics and Elections, Government Operations, Military and Veterans Affairs, and Regulatory Reform.
