Stanley A. Wright was born in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1965 and his law degree from Detroit College of Law in 1968. He served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Wayne County from 1969 to 1972. He then entered private law practice before being elected to the Michigan State House of Representatives in 1988, where he served District 6 until 1998.read less
