Shelli Yoder is the Democratic candidate for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana and attended Indiana University. Yoder has served as Miss Indiana and competed in the Miss America pageant. She later returned to Indiana University to earn Master's degrees in education and public affairs. Yoder worked under Governor Evan Bayh. She taught at the university level and served as a foster parent before taking an administrative role at the Monroe County Community School Corporation.read less
