Scott DesJarlais is a member of the United States House of Representatives from Tennessee. He assumed office in 2011. DesJarlais serves on the House Armed Services as well as Agriculture Committees. Prior to his election, DesJarlais worked as a physician. He also served in the Tennessee State Senate. DesJarlais earned his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He lives with his wife Amy in Jasper, Tennessee. They have three children.read less
