Schuyler T. VanValkenburg was born on August 24, 1983. He earned a B.A. degree in History and Political Science as well as an M.Ed. in Social Studies Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia in 2005 and 2008. VanValkenburg was a social studies teacher at Glen Allen High School for over 10 years.
