Dr. Saud Anwar is a physician and state senator in Connecticut. He serves as the Deputy President Pro Tempore of the State Senate and is a member of the Public Health Committee. Dr. Anwar was elected to represent the people of Connecticut's 3rd Senate District in 2018. He is the first Muslim senator elected in Connecticut. Dr. Anwar is a graduate of the Aga Khan University Medical College and completed his residency training at Saint Francis Hospital.read less
