Sarah S. Stevens was born in Detroit, Michigan. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1998. After college, Ms. Stevens worked in the Michigan Office of the Governor for 5 years. In 2003, Ms. Stevens moved to Washington, D.C. to attend law school at George Washington University. During law school, she interned on Capitol Hill. After earning her J.D., Ms. Stevens practiced law at a D.C. firm focusing on government affairs. In 2012, Ms. Stevens returned home, moving back to Michigan to be closer to family. She continues to be active in state politics.read less
