Sarah K. Elfreth is a Democrat representing District 30 in the Maryland State Senate. Senator Elfreth serves on several committees including the Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee; Joint Committee on Children, Youth, and Families; Spending Affordability Committee; Women Legislators of Maryland; and Chesapeake Bay Commission. Prior to her election, Elfreth served as the Director of Government Affairs for the National Aquarium and worked on local environmental and education policy issues. She also served as a manager for a technology services firm earlier in her career. Elfreth earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government. As a senator, some of her priorities include improving education, protecting the Chesapeake Bay watershed, ensuring Maryland remains competitive in high-tech industries, and advocating for working families.read less
