Sami Scheetz is running for Nevada State Senate District 17. He was raised in Las Vegas. He currently serves on the board of directors for Scheetz 4 the Community which provides sustainable solutions to homelessness, hunger, poverty and illness in Nevada. Scheetz served honorably for nearly a decade in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman. He completed three combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After being honorably discharged, Scheetz started several small businesses in Las Vegas.read less
