Sam Berger is the senior advisor at the Center for American Progress. Previously, he served in the Obama administration as senior policy advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Council, where he helped formulate and advance a wide range of domestic policy initiatives focused on promoting economic security and opportunity for American families. Sam also served as deputy director of policy at the White House National Economic Council, deputy assistant to the president, special assistant to the president for Economic Policy, and senior advisor and chief of staff to the director of the National Economic Council.
